This goal was again achieved this past November when Damian Papworth, the CEO of the company, travelled to South Africa to facilitate and lead a Digital Sales & Marketing Masterclass for its South African agencies, aimed at helping them find success in the highly competitive digital marketing industry.
“Our business has always been focused on providing a space where the agencies we support can go on to bigger and greater successes.” Damian said about the Masterclass, “I find it incredibly rewarding when we can offer agencies opportunities like these to help them to be more profitable.”
When asked about the choice of coming to South Africa first, Damian said, “South Africa’s digital marketing industry is very diverse, and the realities surrounding the industry mean that the small to medium agencies operating in it feel pressurised about finding their next client. In this Masterclass, we focused a lot on giving our attendees concrete ways to generate more leads through referrals, networking, sales practices and much more. Overall, I feel that the Masterclass was successful in showing the agencies we support how growth is possible, and as such was an astounding success.”
Steven Slotow, the Director of Operations in South Africa was also excited by the outcomes of the Masterclass, “The reason why our business is successful, is because we don’t just fixate on strict processes and procedures. The Masterclass was presented across the major cities of South Africa, including Cape Town, Johannesburg and Durban, and was attended by the agencies that Globital supports, as well as other agency managers and owners who were interested in Globital’s services.
While digital marketing was a large part of the Masterclass, it also focused on providing agencies with concrete sales methods that stemmed from Globital’s own proven best practices, and was a favourite among the attendees, according to Steven, “So many people came to us after the sales training section of the Masterclass to thank us for giving them a clear way to implement sales practices in the daily activities of their businesses. Their excitement really made the Masterclass worth it.”
